Lysosomal Protein Degradation

리소좀 내 단백질 분해 기전을 분자 수준에서 규명합니다. 카텝신 단백질 분해효소의 활성 조절, 기질 특이성, 그리고 세포 항상성 유지에서의 역할을 생화학적·구조생물학적 접근법으로 연구합니다.

We investigate the molecular mechanisms of lysosomal protein degradation. Using biochemical and structural biology approaches, we study the activity regulation, substrate specificity, and roles of cathepsin proteases in cellular homeostasis.

Organelle Ion Channels and Transporters

리소좀을 비롯한 세포 소기관막에 위치한 이온 채널 및 수송체 단백질의 분자적 작동 기전을 연구합니다. 이러한 작동 기전을 바탕으로, 이들이 소기관의 이온·분자 항상성과 생리적 기능에 미치는 영향을 생물리학적·구조생화학적 방법론을 통해 규명합니다.

We investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the operation of ion channels and transporter proteins in the membranes of lysosomes and other organelles. Building on these mechanistic insights, we elucidate how these proteins shape organellar ion and molecular homeostasis and govern their physiological functions, using biophysical and structural biochemistry approaches.
